The lesson, minute by minute · 課堂流程
Review last week's assignment. Ask 2–3 students to share. Correct one common error and celebrate one strong example.
Teach 5–10 target words. Always include: meaning, Chinese equivalent when useful, example, synonym, antonym, and/or word family.
Final game-show: vocabulary ladder, irregular verbs, mystery picture, synonym/antonym duel, grammar lightning round, and class superlatives.
Each student produces something before leaving: a sentence, answer, mini-story, explanation, role-play, or spoken response. Keep it quick and visible.

Dom names six rounds; here is what to actually say in each. Two teams, a scoreboard on the board, and no round longer than seven minutes. Speed is what makes it feel like a celebration rather than a test.

In Week 1 this class was asked how big their English was, with no grades and no pressure. Ask the same question now and put the two answers side by side. For most students this is the first time they have seen their own progress as a number.
第 1 週問過這個班「你的英文有多大」，不打分數、沒有壓力。現在再問一次，把兩個答案並排。對多數學生來說，這是他們第一次看見自己的進步變成一個具體的數字。
Dom's summer bridge. One thing a week, twenty words, nothing else. A small mission that gets done beats a big one that does not — and it keeps the year from leaking away over the break.

No preparation needed — the whole game show is written out below, six rounds ready to run. This is the last page of the year, so keep one thing in reserve: Week 1 asked students to guess how many English words they knew. Ask again at the end. That comparison is the real closing ceremony.
