Not a one-way lecture event — in 2026, for the first time, Taiwan hosts as a UN-recognized organizer, gathering cross-generational, multi-ethnic voices on a youth-led climate platform.
LCOY Taiwan is not a one-way lecture event, but a youth-centred forum. On this platform, young people are given agency and influence. After understanding the UN system, they carry their own voices to the international stage. This is not only an honour — it is an important starting point for building global-citizen literacy and opening doors to cross-border collaboration.
Government climate promises should be made public and clearly presented — not left as paper or slogans. Carbon-reduction targets and policy progress should be visible to the public, so everyone can jointly monitor and review whether those policies are truly being implemented.
Taiwan's companies need to pay more attention to sustainability fields. As we expand opportunities, we must also clarify whether the real issue is "a shortage of talent" or "a shortage of openings" — so that talent development aligns with real market needs.
Helping ESG stakeholders build a foundational understanding of international climate conferences such as COY and COP. LCOY Taiwan lets Taiwan's young people connect with the global scope and explore how Taiwan can have a voice in the UN.
In 2026, only 113 countries worldwide are recognized by the UNFCCC as LCOY hosting organizers. As the sole host of LCOY Taiwan, we represent Taiwan in gathering voices across generations and communities — children, youth, elders, local action groups, Indigenous peoples and other key groups — so the world can see how Taiwan performs on climate and other global issues.
On this platform, young people are given agency and influence (empowerment) — not just an honour, but a starting point for global-citizen literacy and cross-border collaboration.
Through the LCOY Taiwan platform, young people — and even K–12 students — have a path onto the global stage.
From Irvine, California to Dubai, Baku and Belém — and from Taiwan to Okinawa. The path from LCOY to COP is already happening.
The journey to COP begins on home soil. LCOY Taiwan 2026 launches at the National Taichung University of Science and Technology forum, “Igniting a Sustainable Future for Technical & Vocational Education.”
LCOY Taiwan is hosted by Youth Network under UNFCCC YOUNGO recognition, with an exclusive partnership with PAC (People Achievement Consulting), holder of GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) recognition.
