The Dongluo River — the old Zhuoshui River — runs along the edge of Tianwei, through Pitou and Erlin, and reaches the Taiwan Strait at Fusing. A plastic wrapper dropped into a drain here can be in the sea in a few days.
Fishers call them Matsu fish. They live only along Taiwan's west coast.漁民叫牠們「媽祖魚」，只住在台灣西海岸。
